With wintertime comes many little family shoots! It’s a nice break from weddings and I really love working one on one with beautiful families. Lily, her husband, little kiddo and I met at Rainbow Family Park for a quick session and it was just so precious. Can’t wait to do Lily’s maternity photos in a few months! She’s currently about 2 months pregnant and we’ll be meeting again in about 6 months when her belly is nice and round. <3
What can I even say about these two except they were SO in love with each other. They were celebrating their year anniversary together and wanted to document the moment - and man was it fun! This time of year is when I slow down a bit and catch up on wedding edits and it’s refreshing to do some simpler shoots in the winter for a change of pace. Well, that and an upcoming trip to Mexico!
Wishing these two nothing but the best and found a new favorite place to shoot (Nick suggested this place!) and can’t wait to shoot more couples (or hey there couples that read this that are planning a wedding at Spring Preserve!) there.
Todays post is a little different than other posts. I collaborated with the founder of these companies, Joe, to get some photos of a few of his products. Since I’m in the wedding industry it made perfect sense and I’m excited to share some of the wonderful products he sent me.
First was a gorgeous grill kit that had my name etched on the exterior. The case was made out of a solid wood that felt sturdy and high quality. Secondly, was a robe that had my initial, “A” on it. The robe was silky and soft.
These would make amazing gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen! It is customary to give gifts to the people alongside you on your special day, and what better than a memorable, personalized gift?

Where do I even start with these two? First off - their love story is downright INCREDIBLE. Jackie and Nina met 3 years ago and the honeymoon phase of dating quickly crashed down on them when Nina was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Not deterred, Jackie stuck with Nina through endless rounds of chemo and treatment and their love for one another only grew. When they said their vows on November 11th - in sickness and in health, they truly meant it. With California burning on all sides of San Francisco, most guests (and vendors including myself!) wore N95 masks to protect us from the unhealthy levels of smoke and yet this did not prevent all of their closest friends and family from showing up to see these wonderful humans wed.
These lovebirds were not only an absolute joy to photograph they were the epitome of how love lifts us up and can get us through the harshest of times. They chose the Trocadero Clubhouse which is a whimsical venue nestled in Stern Grove in the heart of San Francisco for their wedding and enjoyed dancing the night away with their closest friends and family. Please also note their matching Vans shoes that they bedazzled themselves!

Amanda and Alan were two lovebirds that couldn't stop giving heart eyes to one another all day. And yes, there were tears when Alan first saw Amanda walking down the aisle.
Held at a private estate in the Summerlin hills overlooking Red Rock, it was a beautiful desert wedding. With elegant details and string lights throughout, this beautiful wedding was one for the books. Amanda incorporated many DIY elements to her wedding - look at her flowers! She made all the bouquets herself to be sustainable and last for a lifetime from scratch. Coupled with gorgeous desert light and minimalist details (With some Vegas flair!) made for a lovely combination for this winter wedding.
What can I even say about this party that these pictures don’t basically say for themselves? It was Ray’s 40th birthday party and they wanted an event that was truly memorable. Well … they got it! Ray and his husband were a joy to work with and they knew how to throw one hell of a party! From the famous singer Lisa Lisa to a champagne lady (?!), a pole dancer, a dance troupe, a tarot card reader and more it was a night full of fun and celebration. Wishing the birthday boy nothing but the best in his 40’s and beyond!
Be sure to keep an eye out on the videography section - my wonderful videographer Perry did a great job capturing the night in motion and I can’t wait to finish the highlight to show ya’ll!

For two people who don't believe in fate, how ironic that their meeting seems predestined. Their lives have crisscrossed from childhood, through adolescence, and into adulthood. The story of how they met is actually the story of how they met the first time they remember.
As children they spent weekends at the same soccer games; Scott on the field with Marisa's cousin Jason and uncle Ralph, and Marisa on the sidelines unknowingly rooting for her future fiance. She may have even witnessed Scott's first goal! Was she cheering on the sideline?
As young adults Marisa and Scott met dancing Salsa in Berkeley, CA. The rest is history and you can witness their beautiful love story here; surrounded by their closest friends and family in the Oakland Hills. And of course - they chose the Salsa Dance for their First Dance. How fitting and wishing nothing but happiness to this beautiful couple.

Ashley and Adam had such a beautiful wedding. I’m going to admit something I’m not even ashamed of - I cried like a baby at this wedding. I swear, I don’t normally cry! Right before the ceremony (timing, oh my gosh) Ashley opened a letter that Adam had given her 3 weeks after they met and his instructions were to not open to the letter until he said. Well, he told her to open it on their wedding a year later. It was absolutely beautiful and the letter said how he would love her and her two children for the rest of his life and that her love invigorated him to be a better man.
We went to quite a few locations throughout the day. Starting at the Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip, we wandered down to the JW Marriott in Summerlin before finally ending at Elegant Events & Banquets where the ceremony was held.
Look at these two lovebirds and tell me you can’t tell how in love they are with each other. Can’t wait to show you guys their finished highlight video!
Emily and Matt got married on September 15th, 2018 and it was a gorgeous albeit extremely windy day on Treasure Island. We started the day at Monk’s Kettle to do a first look (where they had their first date!) and then we ventured out to Treasure Island for the remainder of the day.
They put so much thought into all the details … from Bride + Groom beer mugs (Did I mention they are huge beer lovers?!), to multiple tiers of adorable pastries that were vibrantly colored and fun to photograph. Their ceremony was short and sweet with the stunning Bay Bridge behind them and not a cloud in the sky.
I was honored to be second shooting for the wonderful Anna Delores Photography who is based in Santa Barbara and drove up here for their wedding.
Wishing these two lovebirds nothing but happiness!
